Government registere freelancer to end money laundering

The Senate Committee on Information and Telecommunications recently reported that the administration wants to register freelancers in the country for fear of money laundering.

 Officials from the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications briefed the Senate Committee on Information and Telecommunications, which was chaired by Senator Babar, who represented the Federal Board of RevEnue (FBR) and the StAte Bank of PAKISTAN (SBP). Unregistered freelancers can be a source of money laundering

 The members of the committee expressed their concern over the registration of freelancers, adding that instead of helping the freelancers, the government has put them in trouble.
